Looking for luggage storage in Queenstown while you head out on the multi day hike or you’ve returned from a hike? Or may you have some time to do some Queenstown hikes/things to do in.

You’re in luck, there’s enough options that you’ll find something that works.

This post will cover your bag storage options in Queenstown.

Of course, if you’re staying at a hotel/hostel in Queenstown before your hike, they might be able to store your bags which is often, but not always, the best case scenario.

Otherwise, the three main options are:

  1. Queenstown Airport
  2. Queenstown iSite
  3. Bounce Luagge Storage Locations

1. QUEENSTOWN AIRPORT LUGGAGE STORAGE

If you’re landing in Queenstown and heading straight out on your adventure, you can use the keyless lockers outside the terminal at Zone C (Transfers). It’s a small airport so they’re easy to find.

I’ve not been a fan of airport lockers in the past, half the time they don’t seem to work…but they are convenient.

There are four locker sizes available: small, medium, large, extra large. The pricing for each 12 hour period is $7, $10, $15, and $20 respectively for a 12 hour period. You can book multiple 12 hour blocks at once to accommodate your hike.

You can view the exact dimensions of the lockers on the website here.

They do mention if there are no lockers left, or your stuff doesn’t fit, ask the information desk, they can possibly help you out with storage.

Fingers crossed they work!

2. QUEENSTOWN I-SITE

The Queenstown iSite location on Google Maps.

The Queenstown iSite location has baggage storage available, with the central location being a great benefit.

Pricing:

  • Small bag: $5
  • Medium bag: $8
  • Large bag: $10

Opening Hours:

  • 8:30am – 8:30pm, everyday (closed on Christmas Day)

They don’t usually offer overnight storage, but if you call them on +64 344 24100 or email them info@queenstownisite.co.nz with your dates and requirements, they may be able to help you out.

They’re very central, trustworthy, and it’s always nice to support the iSite businesses when you can.

3. BOUNCE

If you’ve never heard of Bounce, it’s great. I’ve used it in various countries over the last couple of years, and it always works smoothly.

You book a Bounce luggage storage location online, and then they show you the exact address (the map location they show on the website before you book baggage storage is very accurate). Sometimes the location will be a hotel, other times it might be a cafe, or a corner store…who knows!

When you get to the location with the address, you show the QR code to staff and they’ll store your bags. Too easy. And for peace of mind, you get $10,000 bag protection when booking with Bounce.

At the time of writing, there are nine locations available…most in the town centre, but a couple are out Frankton way too. The locations are pretty accurate to the real location, which is revealed after you make a booking. I tend to go with the options that may more reviews if I’m tossing up between options.

If you book on their app, you get 10% off the prices which are reasonable to start with…depending on how much luggage you have.

Note, there is also Radical Storage, a competitor to Bounce, but at the time of writing they only have one Queenstown location.

And there you go, that’s your Queenstown luggage storage options available.
