If you’re planning to walk through the city centre of Rotorua, the street art in Rotorua is fairly limited, but you’ll explore a decent chunk of the city.
In this post are photos of the artwork I’ve found while wandering about (and a map of the locations).
My favourite piece is most likely the symbols of Kiwiana and the girl releasing the tui.
What’s your favourite piece of Rotorua street art?
ROTORUA STREET ART MAP
The map below shows the cool street art and murals in Rotorua I’ve found so far. Each pin you click on has a small photo of the artwork. Scroll down this article to see the bigger images.
PHOTOS OF STREET ART IN ROTORUA
In the caption for each of the photos, I’ll put the address (or the most appropriate address) so you can find them easier. I’ve also put the attribution in where I could figure out who the artist is.
There’s no doubt a bunch more pieces I’ve missed around the city, so feel free to email me them with the details to jub@churnewzealand.com. I’ll add them here 🙂
You’ll also see lots of the power boxes painted around the city which is cool. This is most definitely a form of street art, but I felt it’d be too much for this post so was sticking to the more traditional form on the side of buildings.
But I had to sneak this one in. Bring Back Buck was something we used to say as I grew up. And often still do.
